In October 2006, we made the trip out to Barcelona for the weekend. From Antoni Gaudi materpieces to one of the best zoos in Europe, this was a trip full of real delights.
In May 2002, the Viney Family made the trip out to Cyprus to visit Demos and Maria. Excellent Spring weather made for an unforgettable trip.
In May 2001 (during an unusually warm spring) we made the trip to the new house in Croyde village. Included trips to see Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Baggy Point.
In April 2003, we went to stay with Simon and the family at dads new place in Devon. With unseasonably warm weather, we enjoyed literally all of the beaches in the area.
In April 2001, we visited the Kempinski hotel in the emirate of Ajman (just 20 km outside of Dubai and right next door to Sharjah, the Sporting Capital of the Arab world.
In December and January of 2005, we went to Florida for a week in Orlando and a week on the Gulf Coast. With a Universal Pass, we enjoyed the best theme parks in the area.
In July 2007, the Vineys and Radley made their way back to the Var, this time by driving there and back (via Burgundy). We went back to all our old haunts and discovered some new ones.
In July 2002, we went to the Var with Mala and Matt, staying in Seillans (a lovely village in the Canton de Fayence). This was to be the first of many trips to the area.
In August 2004, we went back to the Var with Simon, Dolly and family. This time we stayed near the villages of Bargemon and Claviers, amidst a beautiful Olive Grove.
In August 2003, we set off for Southern Spain in what turned out to be the hottest summer (in Europe) for more than 20 years. We barely dared to venture out before the evening!
In January 2002, Matt and David left the (less than intrepid) girls behind for a trip to New York (still in mourning after the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001)
In November 2005, we enjoyed a much warmer than expected week in Portugal, which included a brief visit to see Charlie
