My name is David Viney. I have two wonderful kids; Lauren (born Oct 96) and James (born May 98). I reside in Esher (in South West London / Surrey Borders) and run an eBusiness Consulting company specialising in search engine marketing and intranet portal delivery.
My values What drives me is making a real difference in the world and living a good and useful life. This begins first & foremost close to home, with a happy & secure family life, the company of good friends & an active involvement in the local community. At work, I am passionate about the role of technology as a competitive weapon in the 21st Century business. My workJob satisfaction is all about doing something you love and persuading people to pay you for it. So it is that, after a 10 year career in large blue-chip companies like Price Waterhouse, British Airways and Centrica, I now run my own consulting company, Alchemy eBusiness Consulting . Through this vehicle, I have great fun helping companies large and small with my two technology passions; internet marketing and intranet portals. My interestsEsher is a great place to live, with the river Thames, the Royal Parks and (all important) Twickenham Stadium within easy striking distance. Cheryl Cole, Sir Clive Woodward, Gary Lineker and Chris Tarrant are all local residents! As a keen cyclist and local history buff, I’ve explored the length & breadth of the area. I enjoy coaching at our local Rugby club, occasional volunteer work and the company of good friends (particularly over a pint on a Sunday night!) Professionally, I am a member of the British Computer Society (BCS), the IT Faculty of the ICAEW and SEMPO, the Search Engine Marketing Professional association. As time and other commitments allow, I participate in the local chapters of these organisations. |
